This is a COED class

When is the last time you read a job description that didn’t include “must be a strong team player” under qualifications? An increasingly qualitative and creative (aka human-centered) workplace means silos and singular focused projects have been replaced with group dynamics and cross-functional collaboration.

Being a strong team player is NOW a make or break aspect of being a 21st century professional (hello automation!) and ALSO a specific set of skills. Strong team players are self-aware, adaptable when faced with obstacles, empathetic and authentic – because no two professionals are the same.

This class focuses on skills related to fostering strong team dynamics – we’ll cover communication (persuasion, negotiation, instruction), relationship management (managing up, managing across, managing expectations….) and coordinating achievement – all the behaviors that influence a teams performance.

This class is recommended for first-time managers, project managers, people and culture officers and any professional who oversees or is accountable for building an effective team.
